Privacy Policy

The honest version: there is very little to disclose, because we collect very little.

The short version. AZMX AI has no analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no cookies, and no tracking. The application stores your data on your own machine. This website is a set of static pages with no tracking. Everything below is detail, not exceptions.

1 · Who this covers

This policy explains how the AZMX AI desktop application (the “Application”) and the website at azmx.ai (the “Website”) handle information. It applies to the publisher of AZMX AI (“we”, “us”).

2 · The Application

What we collect

Nothing. The Application sends no usage telemetry, analytics, crash reports, or “anonymous statistics” to us. There is no account to create and no sign-in. We do not operate servers that receive your data.

What stays on your device

  • API keys — stored in your operating system keychain via the OS keyring (service azmx-ai). Not on disk in plaintext, not in localStorage, not in the settings store, not in logs. Where no keychain daemon exists, a local fallback file you control is used, and the Application states this plainly.
  • Settings, chat sessions, and project memory — written to local application-data and workspace directories on your machine. They are not transmitted to us.

Network connections the Application makes

The Application is quiet by default. Network activity occurs only in these cases:

  • Auto-update check — on launch the Application requests the public release manifest hosted on GitHub Releases to see if a newer version exists. This is a request to GitHub; GitHub may process connection metadata (such as IP address) under its own policies. You can observe and block this in your firewall.
  • AI requests (BYOK) — when you use AI features, requests go directly from your machine to the AI provider you chose, authenticated with your key. We are not a party to, and do not see, proxy, or meter, that traffic. The provider's privacy and retention terms govern it. For fully offline use, point the Application at a local model (e.g. LM Studio) and no request leaves your machine.
  • Web preview — when you open the preview tab, the Application loads the local development URL you direct it to.
  • MCP / connected tools — if you configure MCP servers or integrations (e.g. GitHub, Kubernetes, AWS), the Application talks to those endpoints using credentials you supply, at your direction.

3 · The Website

The Website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and contains no tracking pixels or advertising.

  • Hosting (Cloudflare). The Website is served by Cloudflare Pages. As the infrastructure provider delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address and user-agent) for content delivery, security, and abuse prevention, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Fonts (Google Fonts). Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser's request to Google's font CDN may expose your IP address to Google under its policies. No font cookies are set.
  • Outbound links. Download and source links point to GitHub. GitHub's privacy policy governs anything you do there.

4 · Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data — we don't collect it to begin with. The only third parties involved are infrastructure and services you or your browser contact directly: Cloudflare (hosting), GitHub (releases and issues), Google Fonts (typefaces on the Website), and whichever AI provider you choose to use with your own key. Each operates under its own privacy terms.

5 · Data retention & your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, we hold nothing about you to retain, export, or delete. Data created by the Application lives on your machine and is under your control — uninstalling the Application and removing its data directories removes it. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request. Where laws such as the GDPR or CCPA apply, you may still contact us about any personal data you believe we hold; we will respond in line with applicable law.

6 · Children

AZMX AI is a developer tool intended for adults and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

7 · Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in the release notes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
